COVID-19
Good news
skiing is still possible this winter
THE ST. ANTON CLASSICS ARE READY FOR WINTER
THE ST. ANTON CLASSIC SKI SCHOOL AND ITS GUIDES have undertaken the best possible preparations for Covid-19 to ensure you experience a great and safe holiday environment.
We have made the following preparations for you:
Our booking team experts are here to help, and answer your Covid related booking questions.
For safe and convenient ski school reservations, book online or by phone or call into the office (during Winter opening times).
No deposit or upfront payment required.
Full payment can be made when you’re here in resort with your chosen method or card or cash.
No pre-payment means no refunds are necessary cutting out bureaucratic paperwork and delays. Cancellations are free of charge if they meet our TERMS & CONDITIONS.
An Austrian federal government official travel warning for St. Anton am Arlberg is an exemption to our T&Cs (in this case last minute cancellations are free of charge).
When no official travel warning is in place and you choose not to travel, cancellations are subject to our normal T&Cs.
For all other unforeseen eventualities, we recommend a comprehensive European Travel Insurance (see below).
Thank you for your understanding that only one guest or a group of guests is allowed in the office at any one time.
We ask all guests to wear a mouth and nose protection in the office and to carry out the obligatory hand disinfection when entering and leaving the office.
Our office is equipped with a glass screen for safe guest contact.
Our instructors/guides will meet you outside in front of your hotel, the ski school office, at a lift station…
Individual or private lessons in small groups – perfect for your safe skiing enjoyment.
We will greet you with a smile instead of a handshake.
Helmets, goggles and face masks are all normal ski wear; our team will cover up and we recommend you do too! (Mouth & nose protection is obligatory on all lifts.)
Skiing and snowboarding are perfect pandemic sports as being outdoors means there is a lower risk of virus transmission.
In the event of a detected COVID-19 infection, rapid contact tracing is very important and our top priority.
For your protection, we require your data such as mobile phone number, accommodation and e-mail address and this will be collected in accordance with data protection regulations.
Our employees are trained in the latest Covid-19 measures.
A Covid-19 test is required before starting work for all employees who do not live in St. Anton. Further tests are planned during the winter season.
SAFE. RELAXED. TRAVEL
Taking out comprehensive travel insurance is particularly recommended for the coming winter and we highly recommend our partner EUROPÄISCHE REISEVERSICHERUNG (European Travel Insurance).
LoTS OF SPACE – SKI SAFE
ST. ANTON AM ARLBERG is part of the largest connected ski area in Austria making it a perfect choice as we start this winter with a few restrictions.
If we take care of each other and implement measures to protect our health, even a holiday during this unusual time will be an extraordinary experience.
GOVERNMENT TRAVEL ADVICE and resort guidelines are continually reviewed and updated to reflect the current situation.
Keep up to date with the latest guidance by checking these pages and links regularly.
ST. ANTON SKI RESORT
HEALTH & SAFETY MEASURES WINTER 2020/2021
Arlberg Mountain Railways
The cable car company is offering a comprehensive package of measures to enable enjoyable and relaxing days of skiing.
Restaurants
Safe hospitality comes first and St. Anton is SAFE SERVICE certified: employees are well trained in legal regulations, necessary measures and correct handling of these, and they are always up to date.
Ski Schools
Measures for the organisation of snow sports operations have been developed by the Austrian Ski School Association. (These guidelines are only available in German.)
Events in St. Anton & Après Ski
An increased risk of infection due to large gatherings of people must be avoided at all costs. There will be no après ski in its usual form but enjoying a beer with friends is still possible just in a different way.
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF & OTHERS
St. Anton has undertaken the best possible preparations for Covid-19 to protect the health of guests, employees and locals. An extremely important aspect in reducing the risk of infection is taking personal responsibility. Let’s look out for one another!
The most important rules to follow:
- keep at least a distance of 1 metre from strangers
- wear mouth and nose protection
- wash hands frequently during the day
- refrain from shaking hands when greeting people
- sneeze or cough into the crook of your arm or into a handkerchief
- pay contactless if possible
